Residence Inn by Marriott Sunnyvale Silicon Valley II

Residence Inn Ii Sunn Marriott was absolutely fantastic! My husband stayed for a week, a work trip, and he was absolutely blow away by the room and the service!! I reached out to the hotel to ask if they could accommodate a little inside joke.. and .. the hotel really pulled through! We are from Canada, I was IN Canada trying to get him this smoke alarm... in California.. and couldn't believe how kind and wonderful the staff was! They definitely understood the mission, even if it makes no sense! I am applauding the staff for the above and beyond service. You are all really great, with an awesome sense of humor!! Highly recommend this hotel, if your looking for something clean, comfortable, close to all amenities, and homey, this place is for you!

So I am rating this place 2 stars rather than 1 solely because of the location. The room I stayed in was so outdated I was unable to relax any of the two days I was there. This place is more like condo style rooms (which is nice) but terrible if they don't update. I stayed on one of the lower rooms and rmfound myself with two main issues. 1) the walls are super thing so anyone staying on second floor were walking so much it sounded like they were roping a horse! 2) the plumbing was absolutely terrible. Everything/pipes in that room was making noise all night long. The bathroom was the absolute worst the toilet sounded like it was being drained every 10 minutes .. just horrible. I mean I get it it's a old facility but damm people need to rest why staying there. I won't even speak about the terrible service I received at the counter or the two spider I killed in my room when I checked in, so I'll leave you with that. I would not recommend this place at all if you need a good night's rest. Should Marriot be reading this "you need to do better!" Thank you!

The staff were extremely kind and helpful at all times. We really appreciate the snacks when you arrive after a long flight. I liked that the room had a bachelor apartment style and had all the basics that you needed. There are good Mexican, Asian and Indian places that are a 10 -15 min walk nearby. Ubers are quick to come by if you need a lift.

If I could leave zero stars then I would. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was a terrible experience. I requested room service and nobody came for my entire stay of three days. On top of this their room locks are not safe at all. They placed me in building 2 and on the back side, which was already quite shady area and on top the door lock was not functioning right. It would not open even after me placing the key in-front of it multiple time and at a random instance would decide open. On my last night, the door automatically opened because of wind. It was just a very horrifying experience. The management awarded me points for my Marriott bonvoy account but tbh I travel a lot and I can make these points in future. These points do not make up for the horrible experience of mine.
